I am a senior in the Psychology program here at the University of Kansas, getting my second Bachelor's degree. I intend to pursue an M.S.W with a Clinical focus after I have finished this degree. My first degree was a B.A. in Music (piano was my primary instrument). I am interested in how people interpret and appraise their experiences, the things that encourage relationships to flourish, the effect of language choice on cognition and experience, and what neuroscience I can understand without biochem. I am currently undergoing training to volunteer at Headquarters, which runs one of the only crisis telephone lines in Kansas, and am also excited to begin singing with the Motet Singers, a Lawrence-based group that has been in existence since 1975. In my free time,I tend towards solitary or very small-group nerdy and often science-fiction/fantasy-related activities such as RPG's, reading, and movies. I also write mediocre poetry, kickbox, and weigh train when I can. And cats. Definitely cats.
