Biography

Sophia Eddinger is an undergraduate student at the University of Kansas, studying Psychology and Spanish. She has developed a strong foundation in the biological, sociocultural, and psychological processes that shape human behavior, with academic interests in child development, health behavior, communication patterns, and memory development.

She has worked with the Pediatric Health Insight Team on the Responsive Asthma Care for Teens (ReACT) study, gaining experience in how chronic health conditions affect adolescent well-being. In addition, she serves as a SupportEd counselor for truant students in USD 497, where she connects children and families with resources to navigate academic challenges.

These experiences have strengthened her research skills and deepened her commitment to pursuing a PhD in clinical psychology, where she will work with children and families in a clinical setting.
